The Completed Home Certification Process
Completed homes can also be evaluated to see if they meet the Energy StarŽ Homes performance standards.
This is generally a Two Part Process.
- Part One is a On-Site Inspection, Data Collection, and Blower Door Pressure Diagnostic Testing of the home.
- Part Two is using that information to model the home "As Built" in the HERS Software to determine if it meets EPA Energy Star Homes standards.
The Combined Fee for Part One & Part Two for a Single Family Home is as follows:

If the home does not score 86 or higher on the HERS Scale this fee includes as many What If scenario's as needed to determine the most practical and cost effective ways to bring it up to Energy StarŽ Homes standards.
